Bob Dylan is Jack Fate
In his first major movie role Dylan plays an out of luck folk singer, who is bailed out of jail by Uncle Sweetheart (John Goodman) to make his stage comeback for a benefit concert.
The cast surprises with a long list of well-known names such as Jessica Lange, Jeff Bridges, Luke Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Angela Bassett, Ed Harris, Chris Penn, Val Kilmer, Mickey Rourke and Christian Slater as well as musicians of Dylan’s recent studio and tour band Larry Campbell, Tony Garnier and Charlie Sexton.
