Your Top 10 Dylan songs

July 5th, 2008

Since a few nice features on this site are a little hidden in the menu on the right, I thought I could drag one of them out into the light. We’re in the middle of the summer festival season now and if you’re planning to go somewhere, you should take these songs with you as a Highway companion when travellin’ down some dusty road. Compile them, burn them, and play them f***ing loud!

  1. Mr. Tambourine Man
  2. Idiot Wind
  3. Señor (Tales of Yankee Power)
  4. Visions of Johanna
  5. Blind Willie McTell
  6. Like a Rolling Stone
  7. Love Sick
  8. I and I
  9. Jokerman
  10. Desolation Row

These songs are part of the Top 100 song rating by PBD visitors. Please feel free to participate and submit your rating as well, or post comments on the songs. You can do so by clicking on the song title in the list above or on any other song in the Recordings Revisited section. Thanks for coming back again and again, and enjoy your summer! … and let’s hope that the blogged upcoming Bootleg Series Vol. 8 release in September is more than just a rumour…

From Iceland to Portugal

June 6th, 2008

Bob is currently touring Europe again. In six weeks he will have played 30 venues in 16 countries, all the way from Iceland trough Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Italy, and Spain to Portugal. For the first time Bob is going to play 11 concerts in one country - Spain, where he opens his tour at the Zaragoza Expo 2008. He also has recorded a new version of “A Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall” and participates in the international promotion for the event.

In case you are not one of the lucky fans who got the chance to get a ticket for one of the current shows, I found this great audience recording of the Helsinki show on June 1. Each song is provided as a separate video consisting of the recording and overlayed images.

The set list:
Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (song comments)
Lay Lady Lay (song comments)
Rollin’ and Tumblin’ (song comments)
Visions of Johanna (song comments)
