David Dixon Bob's questions are usually provocative and important. Our answers are revealing. More than once Bob has sung "When he rose up from the dead, did YOU believe?" He has sung the song in concert more than once this decade. If I had gone through a time where I took up a new religion, and made a huge and provocative public profession of my faith, but then I later abandoned that faith, would I still be singing songs I wrote about that faith? Not a chance. It means something that Bob still sings it. Dec 20, 2007

Bill Cohen When they came for Him in the garden did they know? Did they Know that He was The Son Of God, Did They know that He Was Lord? Tonight is the first night Of Passover. It was also the night of The Last Supper Of Jesus Christ. The Passover Seder and The Last Supper were one and the same. Jesus told his disciples to eat of the unlavened bread and to consider it as His flesh. He told them to drink of the wine and to consider it as His Blood. He knew that this was the last time that He would be with them. He knew that Judas was to betray Him. When the Seder was over, Jesus went to the Olive Grove to pray. Judas and the guards arrived, and Judas identified Jesus with a kiss. Jesus identified himself to the guards saying " I am He", and went off quietly to the mockery of a trial, and his merciless tormented death. When they came to the garden, did they know? When He healed he blind and crippled, did they know? When he preached love and kindness in the cities, did they care? He rose Lazarus from the dead, did they know? He taught Nicodemus that man must be born again, not of the flesh, but of the spirit as we are constantly tempted by sin. When they murdered Him on a Cross, did they believe? When He rose from the dead, did they finally believe? After 2007 years, during this Holy Week, can we now believe that God gave us the most precious thing a Father has to give, His Only Son! Dylan has never been one to ask casual questions? He understands the seamless transition from Judiasm to Christianity. He sees the cruelty and hypocritic nature of of human kind. So many of his writings in the last 27-39 years have been so prophetic that he had to stop singing them. People wanted to use him as some standard bearer for whatever cause they happened to espouse at the moment.. They hounded him- he drew back. Several years ago he was invited to do a performance for Pope John Paul 11. It was a beautiful performance at which the Pope hailed him as a brilliant young prophet. It always amazes me that he can ask the most important life questions in a simple song. Apr 03, 2007
