David Dixon I discovered this gem last summer, not long after the parents of a friend of mine were murdered. She and I both found it comforting. This song is also a good indication that his "gospel period" lasted longer than is commonly supposed ("tree of life," "bright light of salvation," and "spirit never dies" all being overt Christian references). It's the only song of Bob's that I can think of in which he tried to be encouraging. For me, he succeeded mightily. Mar 29, 2006
